Through
its Enterprise Academy program, Pro-Vision develops the workforce
potential of our youth and their parents to help our local economies
grow and decrease the burden on social services by moving people
from dependency to a place where they can provide for themselves
and their families. Our program taps the most abundant asset of
the disenfranchised, their labor, and channels it in a direction
that will benefit them the most — increased income and self-sufficiency.
We do this by operating a variety of revenue-generating businesses
that provide the venue for improving basic literacy, numerical and
organizational aptitude, and interpersonal skills thereby providing
the base for increasingly more sophisticated vocational or technical
training. This initiative program is a tool for empowerment of the
individual as well as those with whom they interact, equipping them
to participate with others in order to create a good life for themselves,
their family, and their com-munity. The Enterprise Academy program
takes an holistic approach to delivering economic prosperity to
participants by not only providing paid employment but helping participants
develop a "moral compass" that will guide them through
the social complexities of
